Old Aggie, the new beer created through a collaboration between New Belgium Brewing and CSU, makes its official debut Saturday, July 1, at a public launch party at the iconic Fort Collins brewery. Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and last until 6. Old Aggie was unveiled in May and immediately created buzz among CSU and New Belgium fans. And New Belgium has been a generous supporter of numerous programs and projects at CSU. We’re excited for Old Aggie Lager’s debut.” Long, fruitful relationship In addition to creating Old Aggie, New Belgium donated $4.3 million to CSU’s on-campus stadium project to establish the New Belgium Porch, a hospitality area on the stadium’s north concourse. “As one of many Colorado State University alumni here at New Belgium, it’s tremendously fulfilling to see this project come to liquid fruition,” said Kim Jordan, New Belgium Brewing co-founder and Executive Chair of the Board of Directors. “CSU has invested heavily in its Fermentation Sciences program and its athletics program and those things benefit our entire community. We’re delighted to offer Old Aggie Lager to celebrate our long-running partnership.” Available in stores, bars Old Aggie Superior Lager will be sold throughout the state.
