CSU’s Black/African American Cultural Center and campus partners are hosting a variety of events in February for Black History Month, including a keynote presentation on race and disability from a nationally recognized speaker.
CSU celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a variety of virtual events, including a video featuring President Joyce McConnell and community leaders.
Topics will include testing protocols, the spring academic schedule, university operations, and new and ongoing COVID-19 resources for students, faculty and staff.
Planned virtual events include the screening of a Martin Luther King Jr. Day video, featuring CSU and community leaders, as well as an homage to the 1965 Selma to Montgomery marches led by Dr. King.
At all levels, from student staff through professional staff, a genuine desire to help students has kept the momentum going through the semester, and it has paid off in helping students remain on campus until Fall Break.
CSU students will have access to some services and facilities within the Division of Student Affairs during Winter Break.
The Academic Advancement Center is the recipient of two major grants from the U.S. Department of Education.
The vast majority of CSU students continue to be motivated to practice public health behaviors so they don’t spread COVID-19 – and in some instances, even more so than when they started the semester, according to a recent campus survey.
Campus employment is a potent ingredient in helping students foster community, sharpen professional skills and graduate from college.
