Longtime Avenir Museum supporter Sophia Aldrich recently donated a Chinese silk brocade jacket to the permanent collection. The jacket belonged to her mother Ai-Hwa Lucy Doe Lei 雷竇愛華 (1906-1977), for whom the Avenir Museum lobby is named, making this an exceptionally meaningful gift.

The annual Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity (CURC), showcase allows undergraduate students from a range of University colleges and their corresponding majors to highlight their achievements in research and creativity with the support of faculty mentors. This year, the College of Health and Human Sciences had students from interior design, nutrition and food science, human development and family studies, social work and health and exercise science submit their research and creative projects.
The College of Health and Human Sciences has started accepting nominations for the fourth year of its alumni awards program. All nominations need to be received by Monday, July 10 by 5 p.m. MDT in order to be considered.
Interior design alumnus Michael Bent is from Centennial, Colorado. He is currently living in New York City where he works as a designer for IA Interior Architects.
