This year’s speaker is Simcha Weinstein, bestselling author of "Up, Up, and Oy Vey: How Jewish History, Culture, and Values Shaped the Comic Book Superhero," recently voted “New York’s Hippest Rabbi.”
Roth, 90, will discuss his experiences in Auschwitz and Buchenwald on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Main Ballroom of the Lory Student Center.
The event will feature the lighting of the giant Menorah, Jewish holiday music, the dancing dreidel, and traditional Chanukah foods.
The annual Shabbat 200 dinner, set for Friday, Nov. 9, will be dedicated to the memories of those lives lost and those injured at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
