The Black/African American Cultural Center has numerous events planned throughout February to celebrate Black History Month at Colorado State University.
MURALS is scheduled for March 29, and faculty and staff should encourage students to submit abstracts before the March 8 deadline.
This year's theme was Be the Catalyst, and volunteers participated in community service as well as the traditional march.
The Fort Collins and CSU community will hold its annual march and celebration honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 21. The theme of the celebration is “Be the Catalyst.”
On April 3, the CSU Career Center hosted the first annual Career Impact Awards, a award show and lunch event in which members of the campus and Fort Collins community celebrated those who have made a significant impact on students’ careers.

A variety of events will be taking place in February on the Colorado State University campus to celebrate Black History month, including a lecture by political activist and scholar Angela Davis.
On April 23, the Black/African American Culture Center, in collaboration with Residence Life and Housing and Dining Services, will be hosting the annual Soul Food Gospel Festival from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Corbett/Parmelee Dining Center.
