The Shaky Hand String Band is performing in the Lagoon Concert Series at Colorado State University on Wednesday, June 26.
The live music begins at 6 p.m. near the Lagoon with a Little Kids Rock performance by Misadventured.
The Shaky Hand String Band is a passionate group of four members playing music about things they love. Whether it’s dogs, food, love or just pondering the mystery of life – it’ll take shape in bluegrass/Americana style. Their happiness is contagious, and it doesn’t take long for their audiences to be up on their feet, dancing, clapping and laughing.
The Breckenridge-based Shaky Hand String Band was founded high in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. After two years, the band has performed across the western United States, and the members’ free-spirited personalities are inspired from the mountain-town lifestyles in which they live.
The band’s fresh approach to old-time tunes and modern jam-band music captures the hearts of new fans everywhere it goes.
For the first time, the Lagoon Summer Concert Series is not only being enjoyed by show attendees, but by radio listeners across northern Colorado and around the world. Starting June 26, KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins is broadcasting each of the seven concerts the following week as part of its “Around Town” series, which airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The partnership is a reflection of the mission the two organizations share – enhancing community relationships and pride through the love of arts and entertainment.
“The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is a great example of the spirit and culture in our area,” said KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins Executive Director Jen Parker. “We are proud to support this popular summer tradition and share it with a much bigger audience.”
