The Rockies are coming! The Rockies are coming!

Rising star David Dahl will be among the Colorado Rockies players visiting campus Jan. 25.

It’s cold outside, and winter’s grip seems to be unrelenting. Which, of course, means it’s time to start thinking spring time and baseball!

The Colorado Rockies are hoping to inspire warm thoughts when they arrive on campus to meet fans, sign autographs and hand out free prizes. The Rockies Caravan arrives Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Lory Student Center for a brief but fun-filled event.

Free event at LSC

Four Rockies players – outfielders David Dahl and Gerardo Parra, reliever Carlos Estevez and catcher Tom Murphy – will meet and greet fans at the LSC from 11:15 to 11:45. The event is free and open to the public.

The Rockies will livestream the event on Periscope for fans unable to attend.

The event is part of a two-stop tour for the Rockies on that day, with the players scheduled to head north to Laramie, Wyo., for a similar event at the University of Wyoming.

The Rockies have scheduled stops in 10 regional cities during their five-day fan-building tour. Other stops include Colorado Springs, Littleton, Golden, Aurora, Grand Junction, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque and Denver.
