Updated July 11:

While crossing Prospect Road, work crews discovered a leak in a natural gas line under the road. Xcel Energy is repairing the line; that work will close one lane in each direction, with work expected to be complete at the end of the week. Both east and west traffic is open via one lane each way.

Prospect Road will be closed to all traffic at Whitcomb Street on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10, while crews replace water and sewer lines under the street. The closure will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, and will conclude late Sunday evening, with normal traffic flows slated for Monday morning.

Recommended detours for east-west traffic between Shields Street and College Avenue are Laurel Street, to the north of campus, and Drake Road, to the south of campus.
