Pitkin Street closed at RR track, Dec. 1-5

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 1, and continuing through Saturday, Dec. 5, Pitkin Street will be closed at the BNSF grade-crossing to all vehicle, pedestrian and bike traffic for railroad maintenance.

In addition to the closure of Pitkin from College Avenue to Mason Street, approximately 20 parking spaces on Mason will be taken offline to accommodate the work.

Pitkin from East Drive to the Animal Sciences Building will remain accessible to all commuters. Additionally, Mason Street will remain open for MAX, pedestrian and bike traffic.

BSNF will be replacing road crossing panels and pouring new concrete aprons as part of the railway’s maintenance. The City of Fort Collins is coordinating with BSNF to manage traffic control at College and Pitkin.
