Open forum on net neutrality at Morgan Library April 4

Colin Garfield portraitJoin Colin Garfield, campaign lead for the Fort Collins Citizens Broadband Committee, for a lively question-and-answer session about net neutrality. The event, titled “Don’t Let Big Cable pinch the Internet,” is free and open to the public, and takes place in the Morgan Library Event Hall, April 4, 4-6 p.m.

Garfield, a former GIS cartographer and founder of Broadband & Beers, has been deeply involved in bringing municipal broadband to Fort Collins. Fort Collins Citizens Broadband was instrumental in the successful campaign to pass Ballot Measure 2B in November.

“I am invigorated by the prospects of municipal broadband across the nation as an opportunity to safeguard net neutrality,” he said.

The open forum is part of a continuing series hosted by Morgan Library to promote public discussion of topics concerning how technology affects citizens’ everyday lives. No registration is required, parking available in Lot 425 west of the library, accessible from Pitkin Street.
