The CSU Office of Engagement hosted a reception on December 4, 2017 to recognize CSU students from Anhui Province, China. Anhui, an agricultural province west of Shanghai, has a strategic partnership with Colorado State University to facilitate student exchange and promote cooperative faculty research in areas related to ecology and agriculture. Anhui Agricultural University and Anhui University are partner universities. The reception highlighted the importance of student exchange to the partnership. CSU’s affiliation with Anhui Province was established by Dr. Wei Gao and Dr. Jim Cooney as part of the Office of China Programs, located in the Provost’s Office.

According to CSU China Partnerships coordinator Ying Cheng, there are 44 current CSU students from Anhui Province. Several students are enrolled in the “2+2” study program in the Warner College’s Ecosystem Science and Sustainability department, while others are pursuing degrees including psychology, agricultural business, and computer science.
