
Jill Baron, senior research ecologist in the Natural Resource Ecology Lab, was recently appointed senior scientist by the U.S. Geological Survey.
Baron joins two female researchers in this elite category; she is the fourth woman in history to receive this distinction, the highest level that a federal research scientist can achieve. The U.S. Department of Interior, which oversees the U.S. Geological Survey.
