Nominations needed for employee recognition programs

Doesn’t it feel nice when someone recognizes the great work you do? Imagine giving that feeling to someone you have worked with here at Colorado State University.

Nominations are needed for some great recognition opportunities. Whether you are state classified, administrative professional or faculty, there are awards to recognize outstanding achievement and service to the university (and each other). Below is more information about several opportunities to nominate someone who is deserving of recognition.

Outstand Achievement Award (OAA)

The OAA recognizes meritorious and outstanding achievement in job skills and/or service to the University by state classified employees. Up to five awards are given, and recipients receive a plaque, a $1,000 award and special recognition at the Celebrate CSU event in April. Deadline is Feb. 16. Positive Action Award

The Positive Action Award recognizes individuals, groups, units or departments that have made a positive contribution to state classified employees at Colorado State University. Deadline is March 23. Visit http://cpc.colostate.edu/annual-cpc-awards/positive-action-award.

Administrative Professional (AP) Star Award

This award recognizes the accomplishments of administrative professionals who have demonstrated outstanding individual performance at CSU. Deadline is Jan. 26. Visit https://ap.colostate.edu/awards/ap-stars-award.

Distinguished Administrative Professional Award (DAPA)

The DAPA recognizes administrative professionals with continuing meritorious and outstanding achievement in the areas of outreach, teaching, administration and/or service at Colorado State University. Up to five awards are given, and recipients receive a plaque, a $1,000 award and special recognition at the Celebrate CSU event in April. Deadline is Feb. 16. Everyday Hero

The Everyday Hero is a special ongoing employee recognition program sponsored by the Classified Personnel Council to recognize the day-to-day achievements of all CSU employees (state classified, administrative professionals and faculty). Educational Assistance Award

The Educational Assistance Award helps state classified employees with costs associated with furthering their education, such as tuition, books, childcare expenses and gas for traveling to/from class.
