Mish 100 presents Eufórquestra to support Habitat at Lagoon July 6

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is about to get jazzy, snazzy and all around dance-worthy. At 6 p.m. on July 6, Eufórquestra takes the stage at CSU’s Lagoon and will blow everyone’s mind with its energetic and soulful musical style.

EUF 2015If you have trouble pronouncing this lively group’s name, think “euphoria” mixed with “orchestra” – a very accurate description of what fuels the band. All six musicians (13 including the extended lineup) blend the roots of funk, soul, afrobeat, reggae and dub to create a truly distinctive musical experience.

Band members include Mike Tallman, guitar and vocals; Austin Zaletel, saxophone and vocals; Matt Wright, keys and vocals; Otis Lande, bass; Craig Babineau, drums; and Matt Bricker, trumpet.

The group adapts a wide variety of styles that sends audiences on an audible adventure. From the swift guitars and booming horns, Eufórquestra has crafted an array of sounds that result in something fresh and modern. With nearly 1,000 shows and five full-length albums under their belt, CSU is proud to welcome them to the Lagoon.

euforquestra2The Eufórquestra concert is an extra-special one because it features a unique partnership between the Mishawaka and Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity. In honor of its 100 year anniversary, the Mishawaka is sponsoring the band in support of Habitat’s House That Beer Built II. Throughout the evening, Habitat will share information on how the community can become involved in the affordable housing campaign.

Concertgoers can also enjoy the opening act, Emma Marie of Little Kids Rock band, and local food trucks: The Taco Stop, Pizza Casbah, The Goodness Truck, Ba-Nom-a-Nom and the Human Bean Coffee Truck.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for an enjoyable night of free music.

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is produced by Mantooth Marketing with thanks to the generous support of title sponsors Colorado State University, Kaiser Permanente and Thrivent Financial. In addition to Mish 100, event sponsors include the City of Fort Collins, Dellenbach Motors, Fort Collins Coloradoan, Rocky Mountain Collegian and Townsquare Media.
