Mary Colleen Schumm, 64, died on December 27, at 10:30 a.m. at home in Fort Collins, after a two-and-a half year struggle with cancer.
Mary was born in Chadron, Nebraska, on April 6, 1952, to LeRoy and Dorothy Shotwell. She has two siblings, Kathleen (Richard) Struck and Robert (Laura) Shotwell. She had two nieces, Tracey and Darcey, and a special friend, Tom Hiskett, along with many other family members.
Mary graduated from Poudre High School in May, 1970, and from Colorado State University in business, 1972. She worked for A&A Mechanical in San Jose, California, for eight years and most recently, at Colorado State University in the Soil Testing Lab for more than seventeen years.
She is preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Shotwell.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 2nd at the American Baptist Church, 600 South Shields, Fort Collins, with Rev. Bill Prather officiating.
