Meet veterans at taco dinner with CSU’s American Legion Post

Students and the public are invited to attend a “Fall Welcome Back Dinner” Taco Bar from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at Christ United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 301 E. Drake St. in Fort Collins.

The event is hosted by The American Legion Post 1879 and The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1879–Colorado State University. The Legion 1879 family is part of the nation’s largest wartime veterans’ association, and is proud to offer support to area service members, veterans and their families, including the approximately 1,300 student-veterans on campus at CSU.

Come and have some fine food and get to know those who have served our country.

Included in the Taco Bar: beef, turkey, venison, refried beans, Spanish rice and dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under. Proceeds help support local veterans in need.

Guest are also encouraged to bring items to be included in care packages for active-duty military—nonperishable snacks, toiletries, socks, gum, small games, etc. For Taco Dinner tickets, visit The American Legion CSU Post 1879 on Facebook. Tickets also available at the door.
