Leadership in innovation: Tracy Embree to speak March 8

President of Components for Cummins Inc., Tracy Embree, will visit campus March 8 to speak about “Leading a Values-Driven Company in a Global, Modern World.” Cummins Inc. is a global leader in design, manufacturing and distribution of diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies.

The event will be held Wednesday, March 8 in the Lory Student Center Longs Peak Room; a networking reception will begin at 4 p.m., followed by Embree’s seminar at 5 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public; however, registration is required.

Leadership in Innovation Series

Embree’s talk is part of the Leadership in Innovation Speakers Series hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research.

“Our Leadership in Innovation Series highlights individuals and organizations that exemplify novel translation of discovery into impact and engage our community broadly,” said Alan Rudolph, CSU vice president for research. “Cummins Inc. is a model example of leaders in our growing global market, and they have been great strategic partners in the successful evolution of energy research at CSU.”

Since 2014, the speaker series has introduced global innovations and leading innovators from the public and private sector to the university and Northern Colorado.
