Last-minute tips for moving courses to Canvas

With the fall semester beginning next week, Academic Computing and Networking Services (ACNS) reminds instructors that courses are now expected to be housed in Canvas rather than RamCT.

If you have not yet made the move to Canvas, there is still time to get courses ready for this semester. The following are resources to help you through the process:

Moving Courses from RamCT to Canvas

All courses that previously existed in RamCT are available in Canvas; however, course content must be adapted by instructors to fit within the Canvas system. Learn more about how content migrates from RamCT here: http://info.canvas.colostate.edu/import.aspx.

Setting Up Courses in Canvas

A step-by-step guide is available to help you set up courses with both new and existing content in Canvas. Learn how to enroll users, plan and develop content, and set up you grading scheme and gradebook here: http://info.canvas.colostate.edu/prepare.aspx.

Getting Support

Multiple online guides and videos are available to help you learn about each of the features available with Canvas. Access them here: http://info.canvas.colostate.edu/online-resources.aspx.

Additionally, there are several in-person support resources available, such as the Canvas Information Center in Morgan Library, and one-on-one appointments with support staff. Find more information here: http://info.canvas.colostate.edu/instructor-support.aspx.
