Tickets are going fast for the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown, set for 6 p.m. Friday at Denver’s Mile High Stadium.
The annual kickoff to the football season featuring CSU and CU has been one of the region’s hottest rivalries for more than a century. The Rams and Buff started playing in 1893 and have squared off 87 times.
Rams, Bobo looking for more success
The Rams come into the 2016 full of high hopes after finishing last season with a 7-6 record that included their third consecutive bowl berth. The Rams and second-year coach Mike Bobo return several talented players, including quarterback Nick Stevens, running back Dalyn Dawkins, linebacker Kevin Davis and punter Hayden Hunt.
General admission tickets cost as little as $25, while CSU student tickets are $20. Students must prevent their CSU ID at the McGraw Athletic Center ticket office to get their tickets.
