In memory: Lois Adams

Lois Ann Adams was born on November 8, 1944, in Rural, Okla., to David Eugene Marrison and Ruth Alice Philo. She passed away on August 5, at her home.
Lois grew up in Oklahoma and then moved with her family to Salem, Ore., where she graduated from South Salem High School in 1962. Lois married Charles R. Adams, Jr at Open Bible Standard Church in Salem on August 4, 1962. They made their home in Salem before moving to Denver. The family later moved to the Fort Collins/Wellington area and Lois resided in Fort Collins until her passing. To this union three children were born: David, Kimberly and Robert. Charles and Lois later divorced.

Lois was a homemaker and pastor’s wife while the children were growing up. Lois was a Sunday school secretary at Wellington Assembly of God; bookkeeper at Faith Tabernacle Church; and was both secretary and treasurer of Fort Collins TOPS #32. Once her children were grown, she decided to go back to school. Lois attended Larimer County Voc-Tech/Front Range Community College and graduated in 1986. She began her 26 year career at Colorado State University in 1987 and retired in 2013. During this time she worked for Facilities Management as a typist B, an administrative assistant, and finished her career as an accounting technician.

Lois was a member of Foothills Assembly of God, Fort Collins.

Lois is survived by her children David (Jeanne) Adams of Loveland; Kimberly (Curtis) Adams-Windsor of Lufkin, Texas; and Robert (Deanna) Adams of Fort Collins. She is also survived by her grandchildren Weston, Alicen, Joseph, Josiah, Tyler, Sheyll, and Jeremiah.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents David and Ruth, and her siblings.

An informal gathering will take place in September.
