Colorado State University’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability presents a guest lecture with Gabe Wing, director of environmental health for Herman Miller, Inc., on Monday, Jan. 29, 5:30-7 p.m. in the Bohemian Auditorium in Rockwell Hall on the CSU campus.

In a talk titled “Environmental Advocacy: We’re all in this Together,” Wing will discuss how business, universities, and communities must innovate together to create environmental, social, and economic benefit.

Wing has played an important role in developing Herman Miller’s environmental policies in his 17 years with the company, a major manufacturer of office furniture, equipment and home furnishings, based in Zeeland, Michigan. Among his contributions is the integration of sustainable design principles into the company’s innovation processes. He also works closely with key materials suppliers to support the development of innovative products that maximize positive contributions to people and the planet.

Co-sponsors of the event are the Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise MBA program in the CSU College of Business; the CSU Interior Design program; the Institute for the Built Environment, and CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
