Founders Day mark 2018Help CSU celebrate its 148th birthday on Friday, Feb. 9 at the Founders Day event on the Lory Student Center plaza.

The party begins at 1:48 p.m. CAM the Ram will be there, along with the CSU pep band, cheerleaders and, of course, cookies.

Founders Day was established to celebrate the day CSU was established as Colorado’s land-grant institution in 1870. It highlights the values that have sustained the university, the people who shaped it and its enduring mission of service through teaching, research and engagement.

The celebration will continue into Saturday when the recipient of the 2018 Founders Day Medal will be announced at the annual 1870 Dinner. The Founders Day Medal is given to the best of the best – people whose influence on the university and the world is boundless.
