Good vibrations: Students test theories in Motion Lab

The Motion Lab at Colorado State University is an engineering teaching lab that demonstrates theories of dynamic motion and control. In this video, mechanical engineering students are analyzing the vibrations of a hydrostatic bearing that would be found in a turbine.

“The skillsets to be able to do good data acquisition and interpret that data makes [these students] unique candidates when they’re trying to apply for real-world jobs,” says Mitchell Stansloski, mechanical engineering professor of practice.
