Get your CSU home football weekend party started on the right note at the Old Town Ram Rally.

The Ram Rally returns after a two-year hiatus. It includes appearances throughout Old Town Fort Collins by the CSU Marching Band, cheerleaders and CAM the Ram, plus other Ram-themed happenings to kick off home football weekends.

Weekly stops for the band include the Rio Grande Restaurant, Sonny Lubick Steakhouse, Lucky Joe’s and Oak Street Plaza. The celebration will begin and end at the Ram Zone, 172 N. College Ave.

Fun begins Thursday night

“We’re very excited to continue this great football weekend tradition,” said Patrick Krza, assistant athletics director for community outreach. “The Old Town Ram Rally is a great opportunity for our band, cheerleaders and CAM the Ram to be out in the community, meeting fans and promoting Ram pride. We’re looking forward to a lot of fun evenings with our fans.”

Because the 9th-ranked CSU volleyball team is hosting Arizona State on Friday night, the first Ram Rally is Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. to help fans prepare for Saturday’s home opener against Savannah State.

Members of the CSU volleyball team will join the celebration, signing autographs and greeting fans.

Subsequent Ram Rallys will be the Friday before home games: Sept. 11, Oct. 9 and Oct. 30. The hour-long performances begin at 7 p.m.
