Fort Collins, CSU host climate action open house Dec. 14

geese on a lakeThe City of Fort Collins and CSU’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability will host an open house on the City’s 2020 Climate Action Plan from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14 at Galvanize, 242 Linden St.

SoGES Director and CSU Professor Diana Wall and Brian Dunbar, executive director of the Institute for the Built Environment, will set the stage with brief remarks on sustainable cities followed by the open house.

Wall’s talk will relate climate change in Antarctica to what’s happening in Colorado and Dunbar will talk about best practices among sustainable cities. Then, attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on strategies identified to date and brainstorm with City staff on additional opportunities to meet the City’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.
