Colorado research institutions including Colorado State University continue to roll out innovative discoveries with real-world products, but often investment capital is hard to come by to get the startup off the ground.
Helping to bridge that gap by drawing investors to Colorado is “Destination Startup,” a showcase of the state’s best technologies from Colorado’s innovation ecosystem. The event will be hosted by University of Colorado Boulder.
Twenty-five of the best startups from Colorado’s leading research institutions and laboratories will present to investors and the business community on Feb. 1 at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield. Participating institutions include CSU, CU Boulder, CU Anschutz, CU Colorado Springs and University of Denver.
CSU Ventures, the technology transfer office for CSU, is pleased to announce the following six startup companies that will present at the showcase: Access Sensor Technologies, OptiEnz Sensors, PhotonPharma, Prieto Battery, VetMeasure and New Iridium. The hand-picked startups went through a competitive selection process and represent disciplines on campus including veterinary medicine, chemistry and engineering.
