First campus Toys for Tots drive underway

Toys for Tots display

You can put a smile on two faces – one of them belong to an area child, the other yours – by participating the in the First Annual CSU Toys for Tots toy drive.

Toys for Tots posterThe drive is seeking new, unopened and unwrapped toys for children in Larimer County. Donation boxes are set up in 31 campus locations, from the Vet Teaching Hospital to CSU Online offices to the Equine Center to the University Center for the Arts to 26 buildings on the main campus. Find locations here.

The inaugural drive, in coordination with Larimer County Toys for Tots, is seeking toys appropriate for ages 0 to 18. New books are also being accepted.

Helping kids up to age 18

Since older kids’ needs often are overlooked, please consider donating for those ages 12 to 18. Art kits, Legos, footballs, soccer balls, baseball gloves and balls, and board games are among the most sought-after items.

Donations of gifts retailing from $1 to $30 are suggested. Donations are being accepted until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20.
