Feminist Thought and Activism Conference accepting proposals through Feb. 28

Student proposals are being accepted until Feb. 28 for the Feminist Thought and Activism Conference, which will be held March 30 in the Lory Student Center. This year marks the 14th Feminist Thought and Activism Conference (formerly the Women’s Conference) at CSU.

“As ever, one of our goals this year is to garner more participation from students from across campus and academic departments and we would like your support in accomplishing this,” according to an announcement from the Women and Gender Advocacy Center.

Ways to engage

• Encourage students to submit proposal applications.
• Encourage students to attend the conference.
• Share the event through email and social media. Printed marketing will be out around the beginning of March.

The one-day conference is designed to be educational and entertaining, providing opportunities for the community to engage in conversations surrounding gender and other social justice issues. Throughout the day, the conference hosts a keynote and several breakout sessions that allow attendees to take part in critical dialogue and reflection.

The proposal application is now open and closes Feb. 28, at noon. Attendee registration for the conference opens March 4.
