Employee Appreciation Board seeking nominations for outstanding units

The CSU Employee Appreciation Board  is accepting nominations of departments on campus that deserve special recognition.

The EAB was created to recognize outstanding performance by departments or units for going above and beyond their normal work duties to make CSU a great place to learn and work.

The EAB meets monthly to review nominations and vote on which units to recognize. Past recognition events have included breakfast, lunch or other refreshments and a special gift from the EAB. The board will work with the department contact to design the perfect recognition event that works best for that unit.

How is a group nominated? It’s easy. Simply go to the EAB website and click “Nominate a Unit.” Be sure to include specific examples about why the group should be recognized and what they do to go above and beyond their normal, everyday job duties. The more details outlining how the nominated unit has excelled, the greater the chances the unit will be chosen for recognition.

Additional recognition

New this year, EAB award recipients were honored at a CSU home football game.

Three previously recognized units were selected and honored at the CSU/Utah home football game on Nov. 17. Central Receiving, Adult Learner and Veteran Services and the Child Trauma and Resilience Assessment team each received several football tickets to the game. A representative from each unit was escorted onto the field during a timeout while the announcer read a short description of the unit’s outstanding accomplishments. Organized by the Department of Athletics, it was another way to recognize the great work being done by dedicated employees at CSU.

Please consider nominating a deserving unit today!
