Employee Appreciation Board recognizes Student Resolution Center staff

On May 10 the Employee Appreciation Board honored the Student Resolution Center and thanked its staff for a job well done.

Student Resolution Center employeesThe mission of the Student Resolution Center is to promote community responsibility on and off campus through student engagement, educational programming, and enhancing student accountability. This team has been very productive in assisting students achieve success at the university (event amidst onboarding eight new staff members and moving into a new facility). They provide resolution to a variety of problems, and helped students have criminal charges dismissed from the courts. They have also educated students by facilitating impact panels as well as implementing a new innovative program for residence hall students called Life in the Halls. These educational programs help students learn from their mistakes as well as provide conflict resolution skills to address issues in a more constructive manner in the future.

The unit’s work has been recognized locally and nationally by the City of Fort Collins, Association for Student Conduct Administration, and the National Association for Community and Restorative Justice Conference.

The CSU Employee Appreciation Board, originally formed in 1968, recognizes employees for their hard work and promotes community spirit among CSU faculty and staff through events such as breakfasts and luncheons. Each month, the Board hosts a prize drawing for all faculty and staff who submit an entry form, including a coveted reserved parking space for a full month.

The board meets monthly during the academic year to discuss and plan employee recognition events, as well as to help promote university events. One of the main objectives of the board is the monthly recognition of a group, entity or college.
