Danielle Ate the Sandwich first to perform in Lagoon Summer Concert Series

For the fourth year in a row, Fort Collins-based artist Danielle Ate the Danielle Anderson of Danielle Ate the SandwichSandwich will be performing at the Lagoon Summer Concert Series on the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center on Wednesday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m.

The artist, whose real name is Danielle Anderson, has grown her following of “Fanwiches” in recent years with her unique brand of quirky but crisp lyrics backed by effortless ukulele playing. Her songs range from original content based on her personal experiences to unique covers of songs by popular artists.

She has an active touring schedule in 2017 with numerous dates around Colorado. She performed at  FoCoMX in April.

Anderson launched her career in the Northern Colorado area performing at local open mic nights and online through her rapidly expanding YouTube channel. Her latest album The Drawing Back of Curtains was composed as the soundtrack to the HBO documentary film Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.

Wednesday’s Lagoon concert will also feature local food trucks, for the picnicking enjoyment of attendees: Wing Shack, The Taco Shop, Pizza Casbah, The Human Bean and A-Maize-N Kettle Corn.

All Lagoon concerts are free and open to the public. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and park in the Lory Student Center or Moby Arena lots. No parking is permitted on Plum Street.
