CSU’s student-athletes love Ram Jam (and kids like it, too!)

Ram Jam graphicRam Jam, the best kids party in Fort Collins, is set for Wednesday, April 4 at CSU’s Moby Arena.

The questions is: Who enjoys the annual celebration more, the kids in attendance or the CSU student-athletes who make it such a special event?

“Ram Jam is CSU Athletics’ premier community outreach event each year,” said Patrick Krza, CSU’s assistant director of community outreach. “Having all 16 of our sports programs participating and interacting with our local youth makes for an incredible night, and I believe that it might even be more fun for our student-athletes sometimes than it is for the kids! We are very lucky to have such a strong tradition with Ram Jam in our 22nd year.”

Free entry, free stuff

Ram Jam, sponsored by The Group, is a free event that includes games, drawings for prizes like game tickets and Rams gear, and free food for participants. The two-hour event begins at 5:30 and is open to kids through the eighth grade.

CSU student-athletes will host stations related to their sport, helping kids learn proper techniques for, among other things, shooting a basketball, making a putt or swinging a softball bat.

CAM’s in the house

Along with being able to interact with their favorite CSU athletes, kids can get autographs and pictures with them, try on game gear and participate in various games throughout the evening to win prizes at the CSU Bookstore Prize Booth. CAM the Ram also will make an appearance to hang out with kids, take pictures and show off his skills.
