Surplus Property’s annual tent sale June 18-19

CSU’s fifth annual Surplus Property Tent Sale will be held Saturday, June 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, June 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 201 W. Lake Street.

Surplus Property hosts the special tent sale annually to liquidate approximately 20 tons of used goods that have been donated by students as they move off campus at the end of the school year. The items are collected from 11 on-campus student housing locations as part of the “Leave it Behind” program sponsored by the Eco Leaders Student Organization.

SurplusPropertyIn an effort to reduce the amount of plastic bags at the event, customers are being asked to bring their own bag or box this year.

All of the net proceeds from items sold through the “Leave it Behind” program will be reallocated to the Eco Leaders Student Organization at CSU to help fund programs like: Leave it Behind, Recycle Mania, the Green Warrior energy campaign, several Earth Week programs and the annual trash audit.
