Colorado State University Demo Day, held April 27, showcased the best of CSU and Northern Colorado’s entrepreneurial community. The day-long celebration, which included expert panels and networking opportunities, featured a business pitch and poster competition with more than $18,000 in cash prizes.

People’s Choice Award for Student Research Posters (attendees voted)

1st Place – Kelly Hassell, Cell and Molecular Biology, $750

Runners Up – Charles Warden, Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise (GSSE), $500; Kristen Fedak, Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences, $500 

People’s Choice Award for Company Display (attendees voted)

1st Place – Affinidata (graduate of GSSE), $750

Runners Up – Access Sensor Technologies, $500; Noble Academia, $500 

Energy Institute Award (voted by judges with best innovation in energy)

Joshua Cogell, Chemistry, $750

Grad Student Council Award (voted by judges for best grad student research poster)

Jared Luxton, Cell and Molecular Biology, $150

Ventures Accelerator Program (VAP) Best VAP team display

1st Place – Labor Jack, $1,500

Runner Up – Test Drive, $1,000

GSSE Award – selected by College of Business

1st Place – Assante Sana, $1,500

Runner Up – Fair Fibers, $1,000

Best in Show Award for student presentation (attendees voted)
