The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System voted today to establish the Presidential Search Advisory Committee as the Board seeks the next president of Colorado State University, a leading national public research university with an enrollment of 33,877 students.

The resolution at the Board’s October meeting establishes that the committee will represent a range of voices – including strong faculty, staff, student and community representation – along with other stakeholders. The Board will appoint the members of the committee and name a search firm in the coming days.

Current CSU President and Chancellor Tony Frank and the Board have announced that Dr. Frank will begin serving exclusively as the Chancellor of the Colorado State University System on July 1, 2019.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee will provide input in the development of a candidate profile, job description, and leadership statement that will be used in a national search that results in a qualified and diverse candidate pool. After identifying and interviewing applicants, the Committee will recommend qualified candidates for consideration by the Board, which is the hiring authority for the next President of CSU.
