Wrap up Lagoon Concerts with Winchester Holiday

For seven Wednesdays in a row, thousands of music-lovers of all ages have descended upon the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center to enjoy free music and picnics at the Lagoon Summer Concert Series. This Wednesday, Aug. 12, there will be a total of four free concerts with local band Winchester Holiday closing out the series and the evening with a rousing performance at 6:30 p.m. Beginning at 4 p.m., Post Paradise and Slow Caves will perform on the adjacent lawn, north of Meridian Avenue, as part of the third annual Community Open House and Ice Cream Social. Then, at 6:15 p.m., Little Kids Rock Band Polaris will open for Winchester Holiday on the Lagoon stage. Originally, the band was scheduled to play the Lagoon in mid-July, but due to heavy rains the concert was rescheduled to coincide with the CSU Ice Cream Social. Food trucks Austin Taco, Ba-Nom-a-Nom, The Human Bean and America’s Variety Cart will be parked on Meridian Avenue throughout the evening of free music. The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is produced by Mantooth Marketing with thanks to the generous support of  Colorado State University, Kaiser Permanente and Thrivent Financial. Event sponsors include Bohemian Foundation, Big O Tires, City of Fort Collins, Dellenbach Motors, Fort Collins Coloradoan, Outpost Sunsport, Rocky Mountain Collegian and Townsquare Media.
