Bike to Work Day slated for June 28

Wednesday, June 28, is Bike to Work Day. Stop by the Oval between 6:30-9:30 a.m. for breakfast including coffee, juice, water, fruit, donuts, burritos, and cinnamon rolls.

In addition:

  • The Spoke will be available to help with minor bicycle adjustments and will assess your bicycle’s repair needs.
  • CSU police will be available at the station to help register bicycles which is required for parking on campus. For $10 you can register your bicycle on the day of the event.
  • CSU Surplus will give out water bottles and other fun items for participants who spin the Wheel of Surplus.
  • CSU Parking and Transportation Services will distribute maps and other transportation information to help with commutes.

Bike to Work Day is a biannual event to encourage people to bicycle for transportation, experience the benefits of riding a bike, highlight Fort Collins’ extensive bike routes, and demonstrate that bicycling is an easy, fun and healthy means of traveling around the city.

The Oval Bike to Work Day station is sponsored by the Egg & I, LaMar’s Donuts, Silver Grill, Kind Bar, Scratch Coffee, Mountain White Water, the Spoke, CSU Police Department, Central Receiving, Surplus, and Parking and Transportation Services.
