2015 MLK Jr. march leader nominations

Screen Shot 2014-11-20 at 1.00.25 PMThe planning committee for the 2015 Martin Luther King Jr. celebration is seeking nominations for community activists, leaders and volunteers to serve as march leaders. They are looking for individuals who are active change agents in Northern Colorado working to achieve equality and justice for all through their efforts. They can be leaders in a formal or informal setting.

The march takes place Monday, Jan. 19, 2015. It will start at 11 a.m. in Old Town Square in Fort Collins and proceed to the Lory Student Center on Colorado State University’s campus for the MLK celebration. The theme for the 2015 celebration is, “Free But Shackled: The Cost of Oppression.”

If you know of people who should be considered, please send their name with a short explanation of why they should be a march leader and a description of the social justice work to which the individual is committed, to Amber Ramoz by noon Wednesday, Dec. 3.
