Video provides new views of on-campus stadium

CSU fans and supporters can get never-before-seen views of the new on-campus stadium in a video introduced by the Athletics Department.

The stadium, set to open in September of 2017, is a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity for 41,000 fans. The fly-through video will provide fans with new views of the stadium’s interior spaces.

Narrated by CSU alumnus and long-time CBS Denver news anchor Jim Benemann, the video sets the spectacular new structure in the context of CSU’s rich football history and its uniquely beautiful campus setting. It features the perspectives of CSU President Tony Frank, athletics director Joe Parker, football coach Mike Bobo, executive director of Alumni Relations Kristi Bohlender and student-athletes describing how the new facility will connect with current, former and future CSU students, staff and faculty.

Unique, fly-through views

In addition to providing unique fly-throughs of the premium seating spaces, the video takes viewers through the Rams’ locker room, the first-of-its-kind Field Club and Hall of Champions, as well as the Alumni Center and academic space that highlights the east side of the building.

Signed commitments have already been received for more than 70 percent of all premium seating inventory, and football season tickets sales for 2016, the final season in Hughes Stadium, are in high demand as fans position themselves to be part of the priority reseating process that will commence a year from now for the inaugural season in the new stadium.

Premium seats going fast

The four premium seating areas, displayed in detail in the new video, include indoor and outdoor club sections, suites and loge boxes.

Premium seating provides exclusive access to hospitality areas and amenities newly available to Rams fans when the on-campus stadium ushers in a new era of Rams football. The facility will play a key role in the fulfillment of CSU athletics’ mission statement “To Educate, Engage and Excel.”

More information can be found by visiting CSU’s official stadium website. Visitors to the website can view other construction-related videos and photos, access the special three-dimensional interactive website that provides the view from every seat in the stadium, and even purchase commemorative bricks that will form the letters “RAMS” outside the north plaza gate, honoring CSU’s heritage and the generous donations of Rams fans.
