Assistant Professor of Political Science Dominik Stecula’s research interest has always been centered around how the media shapes what people believe. In 2020, the global pandemic provided a rare opportunity to study an international emergence of misinformation, conspiracy theories, and the role media plays in shaping people’s political and personal beliefs.
The effort is a follow up to an archeological survey conducted in 2019, which found pieces of wreckage consistent with that of a B-17 aircraft.
Even as the pandemic was taking a severe financial toll on people around the world, Colorado State University had one of its strongest years ever for fundraising — and donors were especially interested in contributing to programs for people in need, such as Ram Aid and Rams Against Hunger.
