MG: Team effort propels Rams to third-place finish

The Colorado State men’s golf team posted a third-place finish to open the 2014-15 season, as three Rams – senior Cameron Harrell, and sophomores Alec Bone and Jimmy Makloski – each carded scores of 3-under 69 in Sunday’s final round of action at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at Air Force’s Eisenhower Golf Club-Blue Course. FB: Colorado State falls short to Boise State, 37-24

Jay Ajayi scored three touchdowns and amassed 280 yards of total offense Saturday night to lead Boise State past Colorado State 37-24 in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams. Read more.

WT: Rams conclude play in Colorado State Invitational

Colorado State women’s tennis team completed the fifth annual Colorado State Invitational on Sunday with two rounds of singles action. Northern Colorado, Weber State and Utah State participated in all three days of the tournament which also featured doubles action on Friday and Saturday. Read more.

VB: No. 4 Wisconsin deals No. 13 CSU 1st loss of season

Playing in front of a record-breaking crowd of 7,018 fans, No. 13 Colorado State was handed its first defeat of the season, falling to No. 4 Wisconsin 3-0 Saturday night at Moby Arena (25-21, 25-23, 25-20). Read more.

XC: Men take first, women second at CSU Invite

The Colorado State men’s and women’s cross country teams did something Friday that they don’t often have the chance to do – run at home. The Rams didn’t take the home crowd for granted, but ran very well in what served as a tune-up meet before a plethora of national meets throughout the rest of the season. Read more.
