The city will pave Lake Street on campus starting July 17. (Lake Street, unlike many streets on campus, is a city street and not a university street.) Paving will be completed in two phases, with the project finalized on July 28.

When paving is completed, the street will feature an expanded bike lane, which enhances the safety of both bicyclists on the street and those driving cars. Due to the expansion of the bike lane, virtually all parking on Lake Street will be removed. Parking in the bike lane will be ticketed and enforced by the city (not CSU Parking Services). In addition, remaining parking along the west portion of Lake Street will eventually be monitored by the city as a residential neighborhood permitted area.
