Gov. John Hickenlooper to host town hall meeting at CSU Oct. 21

John Hickenlooper (c) Evan SemónColorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and members of his Cabinet will host a Town Hall and Governmental Expo at Colorado State University on Friday, Oct. 21.

The event will be held in the Lory Student Center on campus and is free and open to the public.

The town hall, which begins at 1:30 p.m. in LSC Ballroom D, will feature remarks by Hickenlooper and Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne, as well as presentations about higher education, transportation and the state budget from members of the Cabinet.

Topics will include state funding and its impact on tuition; scholarship support; the I-25 corridor; alternative transportation, and short- and long-term budget forecasts. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The Governmental Expo, noon-3:30 p.m. in the LSC Ballroom Lobby, will feature information booths representing various departments in the governor’s administration.
