David Gilkey interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs

Dr. David Gilkey has been named Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs for Colorado State University. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced Jan. 14 by Provost and Executive Vice President Rick Miranda and is expected  to continue through June. 

For the past 13 years, Gilkey has fulfilled the role of Director of Undergraduate Education for the Environmental Health Program in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. 

His leadership has been driven by a passion for undergraduate education and focused on strong collaborations, strategic planning, and execution.  He brings a strong focus on student success, a well-designed curriculum, teaching and learning, recruiting, retention, advising, diversity, experiential learning, graduation, employment and continued academic development.

 A search for the next Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs will launch shortly. Jodie Hanzlik, dean of the Graduate School, will chair that search.
