CSU Ventures Ambassador Program seeks student applicants

CSU Ventures logoCSU Ventures is accepting applications for its student Ambassador Program for the 2016-17 academic year. The program was created to better serve Colorado State University’s research community and to help aspiring entrepreneurs.

Student ambassadors will:

  • Increase understanding and awareness of CSU Venture’s role across departments
  • Help CSUV become more proactive in anticipating and identifying innovative research, creative works and potential inventions
  • Support CSU startups in gaining traction within specific industries
  • Participate in planning and implementation of the Fall 2016 Graduate Student Showcase and the 2017 CSU Collegiate Challenge and Innovation Symposium.

Qualified applicants

Graduate students in a master’s or Ph.D. program at CSU in scientific, artistic or technical disciplines are eligible to apply. Applicants must obtain approval from their primary advisor to participate in the program, and must commit to 5 to 7 hours per week through the end of May 2017. Ambassadors must also attend a mandatory 10-hour training session in September.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively network with students and faculty within their disciplines as well as in other areas.
