CSU RB Hart shines in victory

Dee Hart

Colorado State junior running back Dee Hart rushed for 104 yards and a career-best four touchdowns in a 38-31 road victory over San José State last Saturday. For his performance, Hart was named the Warren Credit Union Colorado State Athlete of the Week.

The four rushing touchdowns ties for the most in a single game by a Mountain West rusher and the third-most by a FBS player this season. This also ties for the fifth-most in Mountain West history. Two of Hart’s four touchdowns allowed the Rams to regain a lead over the Spartans, and his final score put CSU up by 14 points, securing a victory.

Hart, who transferred from Alabama after graduating with a degree in criminal justice, was the first person in his family to earn a college degree. He is now working towards his master’s in education and human resources.

On the season, the native of Orlando, Fla., has ran the ball 133 times for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 10 touchdowns are the 16th-most among all FBS rushers. He has also caught 14 passes for 134 yards and one score.
