CSU Student Health Network Services

Taking campus health to a whole new level

CSU Student Health Network is every student’s home for on-campus healthcare. More than half of all Colorado State University students use the CSU Health Network each year, and demand is increasing. CSU Health Network’s 200 professional staff, including physicians, specialists and support personnel, saw more than 100,000 student encounters in 2015.checkup2_filtered

Why is a new building needed?

  • Medical and mental health services for CSU students are currently divided between two aging buildings on campus, Aylesworth Hall and Hartshorn Health Services.
  • Aylesworth was built in 1956 as a residence hall. Its design does not facilitate health care or counseling services.
  • Hartshorn was built in 1964 as an infirmary when CSU had about 9,000 students.
  • Since 1964, the CSU student population has almost tripled and health care needs of students have changed dramatically.
  • Demand for health care services from students already exceeds the physical capacity of both buildings.
  • The new CSU Health and Medical Center building will enable CSU Student Health Network providers to serve up to 40 percent more students with state-of-the-art integrated health care services in one convenient location.

CSU Student Health Network with occupy the entire second and third floors and part of the first floor of the CSU Health and Medical Center. All enrolled students are entitled to full access to the wide range of services and programming for students to care for the body, mind and spirit.

CSU Student Health Network will remain the primary provider of medical and mental health services for CSU students. This new facility will enable strategic partnerships with UCHealth for shared radiology services, Associates in Family Medicine for after-hours urgent care, Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center for nutrition services, and Columbine Health Systems for the infusion center.
