Colloquium on research in the ancient Americas set for Sept. 24

palenque_temple_1The second annual Rocky Mountain Pre-Columbian Association Research Colloquium, “Current Research in the Ancient Americas,” will be held Saturday, Sept. 24.

The event, co-organized by CSU Associate Professor Catherine DiCesare of the Department of Art and Art History, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science’s Ricketson Auditorium. It will be followed by a reception.

Co-organizers include Michele Koons of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Associate Professor Jill Mollenhauer of the Department of Art at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

The event is sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Pre-Columbian Association as well as Jane Day and the Stevenson Family Foundation.
