College of Business online grad programs rank among best in the nation

Colorado State University’s College of Business[1] has been recognized as an outstanding provider of online graduate education programs for 2016 by U.S. News and World Report. The online MBA, graduate business programs, and information technology programs placed in the top tier of the nation’s distance education offerings.

Three grad programs among the best

Among the best online MBA programs, CSU ranked No. 50, moving up 7 spots in just one year. CSU’s graduate information technology program ranked No. 30, and the graduate business program ranked No. 37 on the latest list. CSU’s programs were given high marks for faculty credentials, student services and technology, and student engagement.

“We are extremely pleased to see that our online MBA and graduate business programs have been ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top programs in the country,” said Sanjay Ramchander, associate dean for academic programs in CSU’s College of Business. “This achievement is a testament to the quality of our students, staff and faculty in the College. It is gratifying to note that our efforts to continually improve the design, delivery and content of our programs are being recognized by the marketplace.”

Founded in 1967, CSU’s MBA program was one of the first programs in the U.S. to deliver an AACSB accredited distance offering.

Other notable College of Business rankings

This U.S. News and World Report ranking is just the latest recognition for the CSU College of Business. Earlier this year, the magazine ranked the part-time MBA program 48th in the nation in its 2016 Best Graduate Schools edition. The program was the highest ranked of its kind in Colorado. In addition to CSU’s online graduate business programs, the College of Business offers six other on-campus graduate business programs and an Executive MBA Program in Denver.

  • CSU’s Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise MBA ranks No. 3 among social entrepreneurship graduate programs, according to recently released listings from Net Impact[3]. The expanded version of the ninth annual Business as UNusual[4] guide places the College of Business program among the top graduate programs with a focus on corporate responsibility and sustainability topics. The College of Business was also ranked fifth – tied with Duke – for its graduate programs that make a social impact and 21st for environmental sustainability programs. CSU is the only Colorado college or university to appear on the Business as UNusual lists.
  • In recently released rankings from the Denver Business Journal, CSU’s MBA program ranks No. 1 in the state for total enrollment.
  • The Princeton Review placed the College of Business among the “Best Administered” business schools in the nation and ranked it sixth in the nation in the “Best 295 Business Schools” book for 2016.
  • Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranked the College of Business as one of the top undergraduate business programs in the country — No. 31 among public universities in its most recent ranking.
