Continuing a decade-long tradition, the College of Business hosted its “Coats for Kids” coat drive this November. The coats collected are given to Poudre School District counselors.

Margaret Parks, an administrative assistant in the Department of Management, started the drive 10 years ago, and it has grown steadily each year. She still spearheads it, but other departments have become involved as well.

The district is mostly in need of coats. This November the college collected more than 150 coats, its all-time high. The “Coats for Kids” drive is one way the College of Business extends its reach to prospective Colorado State University students.

“Those kids could very well be CSU students, so we want to reach out to them from the get go,” Parks said.
